School Feedback on Cool4School

Posted at 11:00 on 11th June 2025 by Mark Welland in News From Cool4School

Thank you to our Cool4School users who responded to our questionnaire. It is the first time we have sort feedback in this way. For potential new users of Cool4School we hope it will give you an insight and ideas of how you can integrate and use the content in your music program. For Cool4School users, maybe this will give you new ideas.

This footage is taken from a recent visit to Florida, USA. Rainbow Elementary are a super-user. It was a thrill to visit them and Midway Elementary in Seminole District. The music standard and provision is amazing. Cool4School playing a part in this is something we are very proud of.

For us, the questionnaire provides invaluable information on content to add, ways to improve and encouragement. First and foremost we are delighted that Cool4School is loved by those who use it. We had feedback from schools in the UK, Italy, USA, Thailand, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Canada, the Philippines.

QUOTES & TESTIMONIALS

BRAIN BREAK

"Teaching Primary School music can be SO intense so it's great just to press play and somebody else teach it but by doing this, it gives us the chance to bond with the children-dancing and making mistakes alongside the children is a great way to build relationships rather than being at the front all the time"

"The teaching of the dances are very easy to follow, I like how the videos are structured". (Katie Roberts - La Storta Junior School - St George's International)

GET KIDS MOVING

"I tend to use the songs as warm ups and to get kids moving, but we did do a whole year four performance of It Matters in a whole school assembly which was pretty cool".

(Jennifer Johnstone - British School in Manila, Philippines)

RHYTHM

"Boomwhacker 3+2 lesson for my 4th graders (10 year olds) and they love it. It caps off a year when we have done a lot of music making with syncopation".

(Cheryl Martin, Horace Mann School, New York, USA.)

"This is the 2-3 clave with boomwhackers activity and we loved it"!

 (Jumeirah Primary School - Dubai)

"Y6 also enjoy the rhythm games and latin rhythms as well like the rhythm games and samba agogo songs"

(Adam Briggs - British International School of Jakarta)

EYFS

EYFS love the movement songs

‘Wa la say’ I use with KS1 and we enjoy that one a great deal as its simple and very accessible.

COOL4SCHOOL

"I love is how many of the videos have student models alongside the instructor. This is a brilliant strategy because I think some of my students automatically 'buy in' and are willing to try the dances when they see other students like them also doing so".
(Sarah Blackman  - Calgary, Alberta, Canada.)

"I love that I can leave your videos for substitute teachers, and my students will still have a valuable, rewarding, and fun time, making music!"
(Cheryl Martin, Horace Mann School, New York, USA.)
