‘We're looking to do something different’.
This is what Tamsin, Head of Bedford Music Hub said when she first approached Cool4School to partner with the hub.
It was music to our ears.
The Cool4School platform is all about offering a wider cultural experience for schools. Cool4School ‘Live’ proved a huge success.
The energy and excitement of the children from the 5 different schools throughout the day was palpable. The interaction with the Cool4School team was so warm and the kid’s response to singing and dancing to our live band helped take the performance to another level.
In economic challenging times, Cool4School’s ability to engage so many children through World Music, dance, song and movement was very apparent. To hear the love the kids had for certain songs or dances was humbling and reassuring to us in the C4S team.
Parents standing on their feet and joining in at the end said it all.

ONLINE & IN THE CLASSROOM!
The online lessons by Nicola, from Vocal Works, allowed us to teach more rural schools in 20 min sessions each week. This was done in conjunction with vocal teacher Sheridan, from the hub, visiting schools. They did a superb job. The kids were so well prepared.
We have two more shows this summer term. The success of the project means we are signed up for 2023 with more schools getting involved.
